Raw Material Planner
We are looking for a meticulous and organised Raw Material Planner to help keep our production moving smoothly by ensuring a reliable supply of top-quality ingredients.
About the Role:
As a Raw Material Planner, you’ll be the key link between our suppliers and production team, managing the flow of essential ingredients to keep our production line running seamlessly.
Working closely with our Production Planner, you’ll help maintain optimal stock levels, ensuring that production schedules stay on track and that every batch meets our high standards. This role is perfect for someone who’s proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supplier Coordination: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure timely deliveries and negotiate favourable terms.
• Inventory Management: Monitor raw material levels, ensuring we have the right quantities to meet production needs without overstocking.
• Demand Forecasting: Work with the Production Planner to anticipate demand based on production schedules, adjusting orders as needed.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all raw materials meet Stokes Sauces’ quality standards; work with suppliers to address any issues promptly.
• Problem Solving & Adaptation: Resolve supply chain disruptions quickly and adjust plans as necessary to maintain production flow.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Liaise with procurement, production, and quality teams to align on materials and timing.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience in Raw Material or Supply Chain Planning: Preferably within food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong Organisational & Analytical Skills: Ability to forecast accurately, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in Planning Software: Familiarity with ERP systems and Excel is ideal.
• Excellent Communication & Negotiation Skills: Capable of building and maintaining strong supplier relationships and working closely with internal teams.
• Attention to Detail & Quality Standards: Committed to maintaining the highest quality of materials in alignment with production needs.

Yardman - working rotating shifts Monday to Friday
We are currently looking for a Yardman to join our team. The Yardman will play a key role in ensuring our yard is kept clean, organised and safe.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and dependable individual to contribute to the smooth operation of our production facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized yard and storage areas.
- Take the waste from the factory and separate it accordingly.
- Manage the recyclable material from the factory and ensure that all material is put in the correct bins.
- Separate the waste packaging and bale it ready for collection.
- Pressure wash the yard ensuring that it is kept clean and tidy.
- Monitor health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Required Experience & Behaviours
- Excellent attention to detail, timekeeping and reliability are essential.
- Able to work unsupervised.
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving
- Previous experience in a yardman, warehouse, or similar role is preferred but is not essential.
- Hours, Pay & Benefits
- Hourly Rate of Pay is £12.50 per hour.
- Working rotating shifts; Monday – Friday. Early Shift is 05:45am – 2.00pm and Late Shift is 1.45pm – 10:00pm, with a daily unpaid 30 mins and 15 mins break.
- Annual leave is 22 days plus bank holidays and an extra days’ holiday for your Birthday, contributory Company Pension, Life Insurance and Staff Discount.

Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver
As Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver, you will play a key role in supporting the Warehouse team to deliver effective warehouse performance. You will ensure stock flow, accuracy, and control, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and food safety in line with HACCP and other industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective warehouse performance.
- Manage stock flow by ensuring the accurate receipt, storage and movement of raw materials and packaging.
- Safely and efficiently move and store raw materials and packaging, ensuring traceability from receipt to finished product.
- Transport finished goods from the factory to distribution points, ensuring goods are handled and stored properly.
- Comply with HACCP standards and food safety regulations to maintain high food safety standards.
- Complete and return quality paperwork on time and accurately, following company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adopting a ‘clean as you go’ policy.
- Clean the warehouse areas according to cleaning instructions and complete necessary hygiene records.
Essential Requirements:
- Forklift License is essential.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- Experience of working in a warehouse environment.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy.

We make all our of sauces at our ‘saucery’ on the Rendlesham Estate the heart of rural Suffolk. We now have a team of over 70, and In fact, some of us have been making sauce together for almost 20 years! There really has never been a more exciting team to join the ambitious Stokes team, with brand new factory equipment, enabling is to double our capacity, exciting new upcoming product launches and we are actively working in more sectors than ever before!
