Mackerel Paté with Creamed Horseradish

  • 250 g smoked mackerel fillets
  • 165 g soft cheese
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 2 tbsp Stokes Creamed Horseradish Sauce
  • finely chopped dill

This truly is easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Spooned onto rocket and / or watercress as a deliciously simple starter.

Method

  1. Skin the mackerel fillets and break into small pieces.
  2. Add the soft cheese, the lemon zest and Horseradish Sauce. Mix well.
  3. Season to taste, add lemon juice to taste. Stir in most of the dill.
  4. Cover and chill, and when ready to serve sprinkle the remaining dill on top.
